The policy of the Journal of Marine Medicine is in line with the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) published in the \u201cGuidelines for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scientific Papers in Medical Journals\u201d. (http:\/\/www.icmje.org). The work of the editorial board is also based on the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE http:\/\/publicationethics.org\/).<\/span><\/p>\n

Manuscripts are accepted for consideration if the article and its main conclusions have not been sent to other publishers for publication, have not been published and will not appear in print or on the Internet before publication in the journal \u201cModern Problems of Science and Education\u201d. .<\/span><\/p>\n

The decision to publish an article is made solely on the basis of its scientific significance.<\/span><\/p>\n

All editorial staff are responsible for disclosing any information about an incoming manuscript to third parties other than authors, reviewers, potential reviewers, and publishers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unpublished materials published in the manuscript submitted by the authors may not be used by the editorial board and transferred to third parties.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the event of an ethical complaint or a conflict situation regarding a submitted manuscript or published article, the editorial board makes every effort to resolve the disputed issue in accordance with the procedure established by law.<\/span><\/p>\n

Authors are required to submit only original works to the editorial board. Referring to the works of other authors, it is necessary to accurately cite and indicate the source. It is also necessary to mention publications that had a significant impact on the preparation of the manuscript or determined its format.<\/span><\/p>\n

If the work involves the use of materials obtained during human observations, the editors should make sure that the work is performed in accordance with the World Medical Association Code of Ethics (Declaration of Helsinki) for Experiments Involving Human Subjects (https :\/\/www.wma.net\/policies-post\/wma-declaration-of-helsinki-ethical-principles-for-medical-research-involving-human-subjects\/) and the \u201cGuidelines for Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scientific Papers in Medical Journals\u201d (http:\/\/www.icmje.org).<\/span><\/p>\n

In the cover letter, the authors should include a statement on obtaining informed consent from patients for the relevant procedures.<\/span><\/p>\n

All animal experiments must comply with the rules for the use of laboratory animals and be reflected in the text of the article (www.nc3rs.org.uk\/arrive-guidelines , http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/environment\/chemicals\/ lab_animals\/legislation_en.htm).<\/span><\/p>\n

In cases of plagiarism, fraud, submission of duplicate publications to the journal, attempts to carry out technical modification of the article in order to artificially inflate the percentage of originality and other facts of unacceptable behavior and violation of editorial ethics in the publication of scientific articles, the editorial board has the right to impose the following sanctions on the authors:<\/span><\/p>\n

\uf0a7 Refuse to publish the submitted manuscript;<\/span><\/p>\n

\uf0a7 To prohibit the publication of an article in a scientific journal for a certain period of time;<\/span><\/p>\n

\uf0a7 If, by coincidence, after the publication of an article, violations of ethical standards are found, such an article should be removed from the journal.<\/span><\/p>\n

International standards provide a legal framework for ensuring publication ethics: The provisions adopted at the 2nd World Conference on Research Integrity (Singapore, July 22-24, 2010); the provisions developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the provisions of the Copyright section of the Civil Code of Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
